playing tonight only at SPACE Gallery is an important looking documentary about a daughter's relationship with her transgender parent, Trisha. ive only gotten to see the trailer a few times but this appears to be a very elegant, personal and certainly highly acclaimed documentary. go see it tonight, April 14th at 7pm at SPACE!
SPACE is doing a great job of keeping an eye on diversity in cinema going with this trans doc.
another important upcoming screening at SPACE will be on Khalik Allah's artist talk and screening of his film 'Field Niggas'- a non-fiction portrait shot completely at night on the corner of 125th and Lexington in Harlem 2014. this will be screening on May 7 at SPACE. much more on this soon, but you can see the artists photographs currently in the Annex. highly recommended.
im going to write more soon but wanted to post this before the screening this evening of this day forward.
see ya soon filmgoers,
